Downloading Race Replays from SMIserver 

Replays are available via anonymous FTP. 

         IP address   = smi.serveftp.net    (effective Sept 2007)
         userid       = anonymous
         password     = your email address
         passive mode = disabled

As the server operates behind a firewall remember that "passive" FTP does not work as it tries to open random ports for the transfer and these ports are not open.

Try to avoid downloading while GPL is active.

Replay files will be deleted as space is required. 

Replays with the default file names will be deleted first so if you want yours kept around, let team SMI know and we'll rename it.

Replay files are zipped to save space and speed up the download.  

Sample File Names:

FVR_imola.zip          GPLF3R league replays (67FV Division)
F65_mosport.zip        GPLF3R league replays (65F1 Division)
tptccreg_s1r1.zip      TPTCCregulars league replays - season one, race one
CF65_xxxxxx.zip        CF65 League replays

If you do not have FTP software on your machine, you can get a free copy of "WS_FTP_LE"
at this web site, it will do the job......

For WS_FTP_LE: set up a NEW profile with the following parameters:
      
    Under the General Tab:

        Profile Name = "SMIserver"
        Host Name/Address = "smi.serveftp.net" (effective Sept 2007)
        Host Type = "UNIX (standard)"
        User ID = "anonymous"
        Password = your email address
        Save Password = checked (ie Yes)
        Account = blank
        Comment =  blank 

    Under the Startup Tab:
        Initial Remote Site Folder = c:\sierra\gpl\replay
        Initial Local Folder = c:\temp (or whereever you want on your machine) 

    Under the Advanced Tab:

        Uncheck Passive
